orning Fruit Shake.

I like to start my mornings with a healthy shake knowing that I will have all the vitamins, nutrients and minerals that I will need that day.

I use Vega One because it is all plant based made from real whole food ingredients. I personally like the chocolate flavor but there are other flavors you can buy and use. Just using a scoop of Vega One mixed into 1.5 cups (12 fl oz.) of water would already be enough but mixing the Vega One through my favorite smoothie recipe is not only a lot of fun, it also tastes delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop Vega One Vega All-in-One Nutritional Shake (Chocolate flavor)
  • 2 bananas peeled
  • 1 medium pear center removed
  • 1 medium apple center removed (e.g. Gala)
  • 1 slice pineapple
  • 3 cups almond milk
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds friendly fats
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds friendly fats
  • 5 slices ginger fresh
  • 1 inch turmeric fresh
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 tbsp goji berries or dried lycium

Instructions

  • Collect all ingredients
  • Remove the center from the apple and pear but you can leave the skin on.
  • For the pineapple, you remove the skin but if you have a good blender, you can keep the center.
  • use a coffee grinder for the goji berries and flax seeds before you add them to the blender
  • Add all ingredients to the blender (I use a Vitamix) and run the blender until smooth.

Notes

You could add some other ingredients:
  • Spinach
  • Fresh Turmeric
  • Any berries that are in season (e.g. Strawberries, Blueberries, etc.)
  • Ice
Because I make my own Almond milk, I just put all the ingredients into the blender and add water vs. making the Almond milk first. This saves one step because I'm not filtering the Almond milk in this case.
