Smooth and creamy chocolate mousse made vegan by using silken tofu as the base.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cacao powder 100% cacao
- 375 gram silken tofu Mori-Nu Firm or Extra-Firm
- 0.5 cup almond milk
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.34 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Add the cacao, tofu, maple syrup and vanilla to a food processor or blender and process until smooth.
- Pour into 4-5 small dishes. It will set better this way than if it is in one big bowl. Chill 2-3 hours and it is ready to eat!
Notes
This is important: taste the mixture to make sure you do not have a tofu taste since all brands are different. If it is not "chocolaty" enough you can add some more cacao and add it but do not add any more almond milk or it will not set properly.
