hocolate Avocado Mousse.
I have made this chocolate mousse with silken tofu before but wanted to try replacing the tofu with avocado. I must say that the avocados are a great addition to provide the creamy texture.
You could add more date paste vs. using the maple syrup.
Chocolate Avocado Mousse
Using avocado and chocolate might sound strange but I must say that the avocados are a great addition to provide the creamy texture.
Ingredients
- 4 avocado make sure they are ripe
- 1.5 cups cacao powder raw cacao powder
- 0.5 cup date paste home made
- 0.25 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.25 tsp sea salt
- 0.25 cup almond milk
Instructions
- Gather all the ingredients.
- Add all the ingredients to a food processor or high speed blender.
- Blend until smooth and use just as much of the almond milk to get the right consistency (could be more than the ¼ cup that's highlighted in the ingredient list!).
- Add the mixture into 4 to 6 small glass bowls and garnish with some fresh berries.
